Since its inception in 1941, the American Journal of Economics and Sociology (AJES) has been an important interdisciplinary research platform in the fields of economics and sociology. The establishment of the magazine was generously supported by the Robert Schalkenbach Foundation, with the purpose of finding innovative solutions to social problems through interdisciplinary cooperation. Over time, the magazine has continuously adapted to the needs of academia and society and is currently in a period of transformation.During this process of transformation, AJES is committed to renewing its mission, focusing on discussing and analyzing the major challenges faced by contemporary society, especially those global issues that affect social harmony and environmental sustainability. By planning and publishing a series of thematic issues, it provides a platform for scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to deeply discuss these issues.
