Library and Information Science Research is an interdisciplinary academic journal founded in 1968, published by Elsevier and distributed quarterly. This magazine is interdisciplinary and cross disciplinary, with a focus on the research process, results, and significance in the fields of library and information science. It places particular emphasis on showcasing innovative methods and theoretical frameworks, as well as unconventional extensions or applications of commonly used methods and tools.Library and Information Science Research mainly includes research articles published from the perspective of social sciences, and usually does not cover technical information science research (such as algorithms related to information retrieval or natural language processing) or most bibliometric research. This gives the magazine a unique academic positioning and influence in the fields of library science and information science.
