Gender Place and Culture

The content of the magazine includes in-depth analysis of gender issues from multiple perspectives such as literature, film, transnational feminism, sociology, and television, as well as exploration of the development process, institutional construction, and research characteristics of gender studies. In addition, the magazine also published papers on cross-cultural gender studies, demonstrating the diversity and depth of gender research through in-depth analysis and theoretical exposition of specific issues.The publication background of the magazine "Gender, Theory and Culture" is the interdisciplinary "Gender Studies" project established by the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences at Nanjing University in 2005, as well as the "Gender and Humanities Research Cooperation Project" jointly established by Nanjing University and Brown University in the United States in 2008. This collaborative project aims to promote academic exchange and cooperation on gender research among different disciplines, and to advance the theoretical development and practical application of gender research.
