Published as soon as accepted and summarized in monthly issues, Environmental Science & Technology Letters is an international forum for brief communications (Letters) on experimental or theoretical results of exceptional timeliness in all aspects of environmental science (pure and applied), and Brief Reviews on emerging environmental science and technology topics. The journal also publishes Global Perspectives on rapid exposure, insights, critiques, syntheses and recommendations on urgent, timely and new global strategic directions, topics and ambitions in environmental science and technology. In addition, Highlight articles offer rapid publication of short opinions or news items of urgent interest to the environmental science community in real time. Manuscripts describing cross-disciplinary research or addressing emerging issues are of particular interest.
