Applied Development Science is an emerging discipline aimed at studying the relationship between human and social development, emphasizing ecological research, developmental research, active intervention, and the popularization of development knowledge. This discipline originated in the 20th century. With the changes in society, economy, and geopolitics, the contradiction between science and services, as well as the research and application of knowledge, has intensified. Developmental psychology has begun to integrate many related disciplines, gradually forming applied developmental science.Compared with traditional developmental psychology, applied developmental science focuses more on the integration and efficiency enhancement of interdisciplinary knowledge, in-depth knowledge research and application in society, and problem-solving to solve social problems that affect individual development. It can provide new knowledge and experience for scientific research and practical applications related to human development, and promote positive social development by directly participating in and influencing the formulation and implementation of social policies.
