Journal of Latin American and Caribbean Anthropology

The Journal of Latin American and Caribbean Anthropology is an academic journal focused on the study of anthropology in Latin America and the Caribbean. It is committed to publishing high quality anthropological research on the cultural, social, historical and political phenomena of the region, while also focusing on global processes that have an impact on or are interlinked with these regions.The inclusive geographic scope of the magazine covers not only the individual countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, but also the diaspora populations of these regions, that is, those communities of Latin Americans and Caribbean people living in other parts of the world. This global perspective allows the journal to explore cultural flows across geographical boundaries, migration, the identity of diaspora communities, and the impact of globalization on these communities. The scope of the journal also includes the study of global processes affecting Latin America and the Caribbean, which may include economic globalization, cultural convergence, international political relations, environmental change, technological diffusion, etc.
