Race and Justice is a research journal focused on issues at the intersection of race and the justice system, dedicated to publishing policy-oriented papers. These papers explore in depth how race and ethnicity play a role in different justice systems around the world, analyzing their specific manifestations and outcomes in criminal justice, civil justice, and other relevant legal systems. With a special focus on racial inequality and miscarriages of justice, the journal aims to drive policy making and the improvement of legal practice through academic research.The journal not only focuses on race, but is also open to papers examining how race intersects with other social categories such as class, gender, and sexual orientation to influence judicial outcomes. This multi-dimensional research perspective contributes to a fuller understanding of the complexity of racial inequality in the justice system. The journal encourages an interdisciplinary approach that tests and extends existing theoretical frameworks to explore the complex interplay between race, class, gender, and justice.
