Established in 1955, International Journal of Social Psychiatry is a peer reviewed journal that provides a forum for the dissemination of findings related to social psychiatry. The journal is of interest to psychiatrists and other members of the multi-disciplinary team around the world concerned with the impact of social factors on individuals well being and mental health. It provides a platform for researchers, policy makers, clinical doctors, and educators to exchange and share the latest research findings, experiences, and perspectives. The goal of this journal is to promote understanding of the roles of social, cultural, and psychological factors in mental health and illness, as well as how these factors affect mental health policies, practices, and research.
