Contemporary South Asia is an academic journal focused on South Asian regional studies that encourages and promotes new multi-faceted and interdisciplinary perspectives on South Asian studies within the arts and social sciences. The journal provides a multi-dimensional forum for scholars to engage in in-depth discussion and analysis of the issues facing South Asia and its diaspora communities in the post-colonial era.The journal particularly welcomes pan-regional and interdisciplinary research that transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries and offers novel theories and methodologies. These studies may address history, politics, economics, social structures, cultural expression, religious beliefs, gender issues, environmental change, and their interactions and impacts in contemporary South Asian society. The goal is to create a vibrant academic space where scholars can freely exchange ideas, share knowledge, challenge existing theories and perspectives, and come up with innovative solutions. This open and inclusive research environment helps drive intellectual advancement and academic innovation in the field of South Asian studies.
