Language and Cognition is an open academic journal aimed at promoting interdisciplinary research in the fields of language and cognitive science. This journal warmly welcomes research results from different disciplines, theoretical backgrounds, and analytical frameworks to promote a deeper understanding of language, cognition, and their intersection.Research published in journals typically adopts interdisciplinary, comparative, and multi methodological approaches that help explore the complexity of language and cognition from different perspectives. Editors encourage researchers to use diverse research methods, including experiments, calculations, and corpus based approaches, to ensure the scientific and empirical validity of research findings. In the traditional fields of cognitive linguistics, such as conceptual semantics, language classification, iconicity, metaphor, linguistic relativity, embodied cognition, grammaticalization, and construction based grammar, journals particularly encourage the use of innovative research methods. These methods can not only reveal the cognitive basis of language structure and usage, but also promote understanding of how language affects and reflects cognitive processes.
