The Washington Law Review is a historically significant legal publication, established in 1919, and serves as the flagship legal journal of Washington State. Initially, it started as a journal for the Washington State Bar Association and later evolved into a nationally ranked law review. The journal is dedicated to publishing meaningful scholarly works that serve the legal academy and profession. It also provides valuable practical experience for second- and third-year law students at the University of Washington School of Law, who often go on to become valuable members of the legal profession and academia.The Washington Law Review publishes four issues annually and regularly features online content. Additionally, it hosts an annual symposium on timely and relevant legal issues, facilitates conversations with visiting legal scholars, and offers opportunities for students at the University of Washington School of Law to publish their scholarly work and contribute their original research to broader legal discourse. The Washington Law Review is student-run and self-supporting.
