Island Studies Journal

The Journal of Island Studies (ISJ) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to interdisciplinary research on islands, archipelagos, and the waters surrounding and connecting them. ISJ encourages interdisciplinary approaches to conduct more comprehensive and holistic assessments of the conditions and issues affecting islands and island life. All articles published on ISJ have undergone rigorous peer review. In addition to publishing standard research paper collections, the Journal of Island Studies (ISJ) also publishes thematic sections with a focus on current events. Papers appearing in special sections, like standard research papers, must undergo high standard double-blind peer review.
