Psychological research findings from Africa and related regions require an interdisciplinary forum for widespread dissemination and application within the context of development. The Journal of Psychology in Africa serves as such a forum. Its core mission is to promote psychological research within the African cultural context to foster socio-cultural and health development, including African diaspora communities worldwide. While research that addresses the realities and opportunities of African heritage is particularly encouraged, the journal is open to submissions from international settings that address themes with the potential for translational research within African cultural settings. Contributions should aim to integrate local and universal methodologies and applications, thereby enriching the broader body of knowledge in the applied psychological sciences.
