As an academic platform covering all branches of linguistics, the Australian Journal of Linguistics plays an important role in advancing theoretical and empirical research in the field. Another focus of the journal is the study of Australian languages, which includes the description, analysis and preservation of Australian Indigenous languages. These studies not only contribute to understanding the structure and function of these languages, but also contribute to the diversity and complexity of global linguistics.As an international journal, it attracts contributions from scholars from all over the world in fields including, but not limited to, phonetics, grammatology, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, computational linguistics, historical linguistics, etc. The journal pays special attention to research that has made an important contribution to the theoretical framework, whether deepening existing theories or proposing new theoretical models.
