Sociologicky Casopis-czech Sociological Review is a peer-reviewed academic publication that publishes original research on social phenomena from authors in the Czech Republic and abroad. The journal is published in both Czech and English, with six issues per year, four in Czech and two in English. It covers various branches of sociology, including theoretical sociology, analysis of social processes in transitional societies, and essays on comparative dimensions of post-communist and other societies. The Journal also particularly welcomes papers with innovative theoretical, methodological work and extensive comparative studies of social and political developments in Central and Eastern Europe.In addition, manuscripts from related social science fields, such as social anthropology and political science, are also accepted, as long as the papers are socially insightful and relevant. The aim of the journal is to promote the exchange of Chinese and European sociologists and to increase the international visibility of sociology in Central and Eastern Europe. The journal also publishes theoretical review articles and book reviews, focusing on new developments in theoretical and empirical sociology in Central and Eastern European countries and globally.
